The 2024 KAC Contest Theme is "Words Take Flight: Choose Your Own Adventure.” Any written poem that utilizes and expands this theme may enter. Classical and Japanese poems have specific forms, free verse and narrative poetry have a 40-line limit. Whimsy is limited to 20 lines. Please note the contest guidelines prohibit the same entry from being entered in multiple categories.

2. Make sure that your poem is in a standard 12 point font and fits on one page.
3. Your name should NOT appear on the manuscript or in the file name of the document you submit.
